The project section includes information on the site and its surrounding area. You will want the reader to know where your site is located and what is nearby. A great idea is to pair this with a site location plan, or interactive map. This gives the reader a good idea of how big the development is and the size of the possibly impacted area. If it is a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project under the Planning Act (2008), as amended, this should also be discussed.
Details of the site could include how close residential receptors are or any features of significance (roads, schools, heritage features). It is also a good idea to discuss any previous applications linked to the site including any under construction.
This section also introduces what the you are proposing. Outlining the development, including size; what it is composed of; how long it may take to build. It is helpful to break the project description down into a series of key points. These can be shown in a graphic as shown below.
